Microcarpaea minima has a similar growth pattern to Micranthemum micranthemoides but has smaller, more narrow, leaves.  If trimmed frequently it can be used in aquascapes as a foreground or carpeting type plant.  Planted at the base of hardscape or around taller stem plants, Microcarpaea can add a softening effect.
